Introducing Shreya & Sahana Sheth...

This year after dinner at Dina's, we went to St Francis Wood, for some trick or treating. The kids (Max, Sam, Shreya, Sani and Cesare) really enjoyed themselves totally undeterred by the rain! Sani even tried to enter some of the homes. Here is a video of the kids in action

This afternoon we all went to Shreya's school for their Halloween parade and party. Definitely nothing cuter than scores of 3 and 4 year olds dressed up in their costumes marching around the playground! This morning the two Minnies, dad/Giants fan/Benny from Dora and mum went to Max and Sam's Halloween party. A really fun morning and since it was another beautiful day in San Francisco, the kids had a great time bouncing in the castle in the backyard. Ready to go! Another favourite song choice is twinkle twinkle little star - anyone who visits us at the moment will hear it played on repeat. Here is Sani and Shreya's take on it.

Post afternoon naps, we rushed to Noor's house to celebrate her birthday. Shreya had a lot of fun jumping in the bouncy castle with her friends while Sani was happy to indulge in the strawberries and for the first time, birthday cake! This afternoon after our hike, we had a wonderful surprise with a visit from Naya, aka best behaved baby ever!

To show our support for the SF giants who were close to winning the 'world series' (note no other countries participate in this world series competition but that topic is for another day), we all put on our giants gear for our morning outing. You will notice that Shreya has a pink Giants shirt on - not the standard orange and black associated with the team. I am assuming there was enough demand from little girls in San Francisco for them to produce pink tshirts! Since it was a glorious sunny day, we went for a walk or as Shreya calls it a 'hike' through the Presidio. Shreya climbing

We've had a lot of birthdays in our family/friends recently and Sani has taken to singing Happy Birthday any time she can. Here is a video of her and Shreya singing to Arjun.

A big highlight of the month, was Amit's wedding to Nidhi. Lots of dancing, fabulous food and just a great few days of wedding festivities which we all thoroughly enjoyed! This year our halloween activities included painting the pumpkins (we were hoping Sani might enjoy this more than carving) and decorating our windows with halloween stickers. I think we might have to take the decorations up a notch next year given the standard in our neighbourhood!

It was time for our annual visit to the pumpkin patch and this time we tried out one in the south bay. Shreya tried the 'haunted house' for the first time and thankfully it was tame enough for me to also not be scared! A fun morning with our friends. Shreya picking out her pumpkins Riding the 'train'. And it was time to celebrate Arjun's 4th birthday! This year the party involved none less than a real fire engine complete with fireman! The kids loved it and I am not sure how you top this event! Upon returning from Sacramento we decided to try the Glen Canyon trail with the kids. The kids seemed to enjoy the hike and we are hoping the trails become a regular occurrence!

We decided to make a last minute trip to Sacramento this weekend and as usual Shreya and Arjun made the most of their time together. Sani and Aiden continue to acknowledge each other's existence but are still happy doing their own thing.

As temperatures rose in the city, Shreya took the opportunity to raid her summer dress collection. While Shreya and I are sad that the cooler weather has returned, Nehal and Sani have breathed a sigh of relief.
