Pre-party preparations
As we will be in New York for Shreya's actual birthday, we had an early celebration at home with a few friends. We started the day by entering her room singing happy birthday and while we are pretty certain she had no idea why her parents were singing and dancing she greeted us with a huge smile !
We brought her out and showed her the decorations we had put up while she was asleep. She seemed to approve!
Then we got down to the serious business of reading cards sent by her grandparents in London!
Our friends, now known as Uncle Raj and Aunt Liz, came over at a shockingly early hour on a sunday morning to help us prepare for the party. You can see Shreya is keeping a close eye on the beverages being consumed !
Aunt Liz made ALL the delicious cupcakes for Shreya's party and for that we are eternally grateful !
