Not quite Sochi but a first ski trip to Tahoe. My memories of skiing have been pretty interesting so far - torture on the slopes in Tignes, France with some less than sympathetic French instructors, generally freezing conditions and a torn off toe nail incident on the last outing. Regardless, I was really keen to give it another try for the sake of the girls in the hope that this becomes a recurring family holiday for the future.
Well it turned out to be a perfect few days - a traffic free, non-stop drive (a first for us), gentle introduction to skiing for the girls and me, some solo ski runs for Nehal, unbelievably gorgeous weather, great resort with outdoor swimming, sunset walks at the beach, evening smores at the fire pit and generally some wonderful quality family time in the great outdoors. Shreya wants to return next weekend and surprisingly I do too. Definitely next year though!

Fun few days celebrating Manish & Parisha's wedding. One of the highlights was the drone that took videos of the crowd during the baraat - definitely a first for me! ready to hit the dance floor Break from wedding festivities
As Shreya's summer school ended, we headed to the mid-west to visit Nehal's parents in Cleveland. While we were there, we were lucky enough to attend a family friend's wedding. It was Sani's first indian wedding and Shreya was only 6 months old for her last experience. The girls really enjoyed themselves and highlights were dressing up and dancing. Sitting down quietly during the wedding didn't go down so well with Sani.
