Another highlight of our trip was the short break in Paris. We jumped on the Eurostar and a few hours later were in arguably the most beautiful city in the world. We were lucky enough to be staying right across from the Tuileries gardens and so managed to pack a lot of walking into the two days visiting the Louvre (just from the outside), Tuileries gardens, obviously the Eiffel Tower, boat rides along the Seine, the Champs Elysee as well as numerous carousel rides!
People were incredibly friendly and waiters and hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate the girls (definitely not how I remember Parisians). I was also struck by how many things they have for kids in the parks - trampolines for example across from the Louvre albeit at an extortionate price! Some things were exactly as I remember like the delicious pain au chocolat and Herme macaroons!
All in all it was such a treat to see the girls experience a taste of continental Europe and mark the start of our European adventures.

On the metro - possibly Sani's favourite thing in Paris!
Carousel rides with the Eiffel Tower in the background - not sure it gets any better
Fun few days celebrating Manish & Parisha's wedding. One of the highlights was the drone that took videos of the crowd during the baraat - definitely a first for me! ready to hit the dance floor Break from wedding festivities
As Shreya's summer school ended, we headed to the mid-west to visit Nehal's parents in Cleveland. While we were there, we were lucky enough to attend a family friend's wedding. It was Sani's first indian wedding and Shreya was only 6 months old for her last experience. The girls really enjoyed themselves and highlights were dressing up and dancing. Sitting down quietly during the wedding didn't go down so well with Sani. Shreya and Sani showing off their moves on the dance floor Sani in action Shreya learning some new dance moves Girls at the wedding - Sani was more interested in finishing her strawberry than posing for the camera Family shot at the wedding Shreya with her new pal, Layla Sani at the reception - her cheeky smile says it all
